Service Description

All work and information given on my course is carried out in accordance with British Gypsum guidelines and specifications. Course Contents: - Learn about what tools you will need and the materials you will be using. - How to mix your finish plasters correctly to the perfect workable consistencies - How to apply your plaster correctly to the right thickness - How long to leave your plaster (timings) before the next stage in the process - How to trowel up your plaster correctly to a smooth, flat matt paintable finish with very little or no filing or sanding to do. We will go through the whole process in 4 stages using one 13" x 5" Marshalltown pre-worn trowel keeping the process simple and uncomplicated which is exactly how it should be. We will practise the angle and pressure on your trowel so that you are applying the correct amount of plaster and also applying the correct angle and pressure on your trowel when you come to trowel it to a finish. We will also practise your technique with your trowel as well when you're applying your plaster as this is an extremely important part of the process as it will make trowelling it up at the end much easier. We will also go through all the preparation side of the trade as well if you are considering re-skimming over anything existing.
